Park and museum are open. Day-dated tickets only available online in the ticket shop.

The Dinosaur Museum Altmühltal is again open daily from 9am-6pm.

The number of visitors is limited. Once the permitted number has been reached, no further online tickets will be sold.

Please note that annual pass holders also need online tickets (“Visit with valid annual pass” tickets).

IMPORTANT: Visitors who wish to visit us with a holiday pass/guest card or free ticket should report to the entrance ticket office and present their holiday pass/guest card or free ticket there (a ticket contingent is reserved for them).

Admission is initially contactless only and with a pre-booked online ticket with a fixed visit date (including for children under 4, annual pass holders, etc.), which can be purchased via our webshop up to the day of the visit – if there are still free places available. A visit without an online ticket is not possible for the time being. This is the only way we can guarantee smooth access to the Dinosaur Museum Altmühltal, taking into account the maximum daily number of visitors.

Online tickets cannot be returned. Rebooking is possible directly in the online ticket shop. If the Dinosaur Museum Altmühltal has to close again due to the corona incidence in the district of Eichstätt, you will receive a voucher in the amount of the ticket purchase value. You can use this voucher/voucher code flexibly for a future ticket purchase in 2021 (= rebooking for a new visit day).

Brief instructions for ordering online tickets
  1. Open our webshop
  2. Select: Ticket type and visit date
  3. Check the shopping cart for correctness and make changes if necessary.
  4. Select payment method (you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, SofortÜberweisung, etc.)
  5. Place a chargeable order (also for “Visit with valid annual pass” tickets)
  6. You will then receive your ticket(s) by e-mail.
  7. At the entrance, please show your ticket, if necessary with the relevant proof (e.g. annual pass, student ID, ID card, etc.) for reduced or free admission, as a printout or saved on your smartphone.

Mask obligation, distance and more

Covid proof is no longer required for your visit: the 3G rule and the mask requirement no longer apply. In the indoor areas (e.g. the main building and the museum hall), wearing masks is recommended but not compulsory.

Please keep the usual distance of 1.50 m throughout the grounds. We ask you to avoid forming groups.

You will find disinfection dispensers and additional hand-washing stations at many locations in the park and museum.

People who feel ill and/or suffer from acute respiratory diseases should please stay at home.

Our kiosk at the idyllic forest beer garden is also open (not daily).
